My owl beek has GNOME Panel applet

Description

This is a GNOME Panel applet for monitoring the status of owl beek.

Dependencies

The Ruby version requires GNOME 2, Ruby, and the ruby-gnome2 bindings. The new C version requires GNOME 2 and http-fetcher.

Download

• The applet itself
• The new C version
• The Bonobo server descriptor

Installation

Ruby version: put beek-applet.rb in /usr/local/bin and beek-applet.server in your Bonobo servers directory (usually /usr/lib/bonobo/servers). Then select the applet from the "Add Applet" dialog.

C version: untar, cd into beek-applet, edit the Makefile as appropriate (the defaults should be fine). Run make and sudo make install. Select the applet from the "Add Applet" dialog."
